  It depends on the kind of research you’re doing!
  Psychologists do research on humans, and they can do it from a very early stage – even in university!
  However, if you wanna do research on a human brain directly, you have to be very very qualified – I know of one scientist who was leader of the whole laboratory and he got to do experiments on a piece of human brain that doctors were taking out for medical reasons!
  I’m somewhere in between – I am just a master’s student, but I’m allowed to put electrodes on top of people’s heads and see what their brainwaves look like. It’s pretty cool!
