      Hey Khalid,
      I strongly believe the most important topic in science at the moment is climate change. It is such a huge challenge. If we don’t do anything about carbon dioxide emissions, it is very likely that huge parts of our planet will be unsuitable for agriculture, leading to catastrophic food shortages. This is something that might happen in your lifetime. The science is actually quite well understood, but the real challenge is persuading people in power to change things.
