      Hi Olly,

I think we’re all scientists in a way. A scientist asks questions about the world around them “why does something look like this?” “where does this come from?” “why does this guy want to be a scientist?!”, a scientist makes observations to try to answer those questions, and if they can’t find the answers themselves, they’ll go and read a book about it (or check wikipedia!), and if they think the book is wrong, they’ll try and prove it. Hopefully you can see yourself in that description a little. In which case, I need to make no recommendation.

Whether you want to become a scientist for your job, now that is a different question. There are many forms of scientists, those who work for universities, hospitals, but also those who work for banks, for the government, and for television shows. If you like questioning the world around you, all I recommend is that you keep questioning, and the answers will come, and along the way you might find yourself doing it for your job!
