• Question: Does it hurt the mice when you test on them?

      It might sting a little to get the injection of painkiller, kind of like when you get a shot, but after that we lay them down until they go to sleep and can’t feel anything. We give every mouse a little pinch of the tail and foot (which are both very sensitive) to make sure they are completely knocked out, just like when we do surgery on humans!
