Unfortunately though, the SD card in your camera or smart phone won’t last forever; only lasting either ~100,000 re-writes or 5-10 years before the memory ‘leaks’. CD-ROMS on the other hand have a lifetime of ~200 years… so I’d stick with putting your valuable photos on a CD-ROMS if you want future generations to see it.
