I do surgeries mainly on animals’ brains, because that’s what I study, and I’ve only done surgery on mice and rats. But the more complex an animal is, the more difficult the surgery. For people doing experiments with monkeys, they have to be very well trained because if they mess up, it is a LOT worse.

The most difficult animals to do surgery on, is (of course) humans! Brain surgeons for humans are very well paid but they work very hard to make sure they make zero mistakes – a single mistake on the brain could have catastrophic effects!
(catastrophic is an awesome word, btw)
